one week of clinicals done, eight to go.....

I had my first week of clinicals this week, they are tuesday and wensdays from 3:00-11:30. it was easy this week because we didn't have to pass meds or do anything to difficult, and my patient was SUPER easy. the hospital is WAAAAYYY better than the nursing home:) i got to see inside a 4 year olds abdomen, it was sweet. he had surgery and it got infected so they left it open so we got to look at it, there was a layer of fat on him and you could see it in the incision and that made me think of how grose really fat, and not even really fat people look on the inside,yuck-o!! i had a dr. appointment on tuesday and i got to hear the heart beat, it was fast, babies heart rates are 120-160 beats per minutes, adults are 60-100, so it is super fast!! adam and i are going up north this weekend since he doesn't work on monday, and we are bringing the dog so he should get nice and wore out for at least a month:) but now i must do some homework that is due tomorrow!!! guten tag!
